GWC has given me the opportunity to develop my abilities to lead groups, implement change, run facilities and manage my time—skills that I know I will benefit me in the future. As I enter the workforce, I’ll be building on the experiential learning from my courses at GWC by creating an enjoyable, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for campers and their families. I want to teach children to respect each other and to find peaceful solutions to problems. That’s why I chose parks and recreation at GWC. I’ve learned to teach those leadership skills, while having fun with kids in an informal setting.
