2013 Commencement Replay

Commencement is an exciting time on the GWC campus as we witness students transform into alumni who represent our core values of integrity, citizenship, continuous learning and excellence. Once again, George Williams College of Aurora University will celebrate commencement by incorporating many customs and traditions and awards and honors given to our faculty and students on the GWC and AU campuses.

Our commencement speaker will be Sal Dimiceli, a local businessman and social entrepreneur who has dedicated his life to easing the pain of poverty. From helping the working poor to neglected veterans, hungry children to the elderly, Dimiceli has drawn on his own personal experiences with poverty to make a difference in the lives of others far and wide. Dimiceli’s organization, The Time Is Now To Help, provides relief to more than 500 people each year, and raises awareness of poverty in Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Dimiceli’s work in this region is so remarkable that it attracted the global spotlight in 2011, when he was honored as a “CNN Hero.”
