50th anniversary concert celebrates The Beatles
Music by the Lake celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Beatles American Invasion with a July 19 concert featuring BritBeat. Named as one of Newsweek’s best Beatles tribute bands in America, the group makes its Music by the Lake debut.
It was 1964 when The Beatles first arrived in the U.S. and performed on the Ed Sullivan Show. BritBeat will recreate that historical appearance complete with 'Ed Sullivan' himself. The band will continue the theatrical multi-media journey through Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and end the evening with the Abbey Road recording sessions. This complete anthology of Beatles music history includes retro costumes, vintage instruments, stage mannerisms and vocal harmonies reminiscent of the original Fab Four.
Tickets for the 2014 Music by the Lake festival go on sale to festival donors on April 15 and public sales begin on May 1 at musicbythelake.com or by calling 262-245-8501. Donors to the summer music festival receive benefits including advance ticket sales, invitations to special events and more.
