Blood, Sweat & Tears announced as first 2014 performance

George Williams College’s summer festival Music by the Lake presents Grammy Award-winner Blood, Sweat & Tears as the opening night concert on Saturday, June 28. Joined by American Idol finalist, Bo Bice, the group makes its Music by the Lake debut.

For more than four decades Blood, Sweat & Tears has toured the world singing hits such as “You Made Me So Very Happy,” “And When I Die” and “Spinning Wheel.” As the first group to successfully blend rock and jazz into a genre-crossing sound and style, the band has seen chart-topping and award success including winning the Grammy Album of the Year, beating out The Beatles Abbey Road.  The group continues to create and play music with seasoned and new musicians, reaching beyond a nostalgic audience as they introduce their new lead singer, Bice, the runner-up to Carrie Underwood on the fourth season of American Idol.

Tickets for the 2014 Music by the Lake festival go on sale to festival donors on April 15 and public sales begin on May 1 at or by calling 262-245-8501. Donors to the summer music festival receive benefits including advance ticket sales, invitations to special events and more.

Stay tuned for more exciting announcements in the coming weeks. Remember, it’s not summer without Music by the Lake!
